Frequency converter or frequency inverter is a device that is most commonly used for regulating the speed of three-phase asynchronous electric motors. In an increasing number of modern applications or functions, there is a need for drives with variable speed, in such cases the frequency converter comes into play. By controlling the speed of the electric motor, we consequently reduce electricity consumption and adjust the speed to certain revolutions that we need for the mode of operation. It is most commonly used in applications in combination with pumps, fans, changing direction, and applications where we need certain changes in speed (increasing or decreasing constant speed) of the application itself (conveyor belt, soft start, ...).

 

OPERATION of the frequency converter is simple. The frequency inverter as a device allows us to change or regulate the revolutions of the asynchronous motor by changing the frequency and voltage. Therefore, the frequency converter is suitable for soft, simple starts or drives.

 

The frequency inverters from our offer can be single-phase (230V) or three-phase (400V), they are very reliable and refined. With the functions or programs that the frequency inverter offers, we can also reverse the direction of rotation. The housing of the frequency converter has pre-prepared holes for installation and contains active cooling with a fan (except for 1Phase 0.75kW GD10-0R7G-S2-B, which has passive cooling with ALU ribs). The frequency converter provides us with a display through which we obtain, enter, and set the operating data, which are controlled by buttons on the control panel itself.
